The mission of the East Village Association is to serve as a forum of designated Representatives and Directors working together to continuously enhance the quality of life and build a sense of community for East Village Residents and Businesses.
Originally founded in 1991, the association has survived a number of boards made up of a diverse group of individuals, many of whom still live and work in the East Village and continue to be a part of its efforts. Also known as the Arts District of Long Beach, the East Village is a dynamic place to live, work, eat, play, shop and appreciate art.

The East Village boundaries are Ocean Avenue to 10 Street, and Long Beach Boulevard to Alamitos Avenue. There are four quadrants divided by 4th Street and Atlantic Avenue. Each quadrant has a residential representative and a business representative. In addition to these eight representatives, the board has a Vice President of Residential and a Vice President of Business. These along with the Executive Committee of President, Treasurer and Secretary make up the East Village Association Board of Directors.
